Wedding mornings are magic — full of excitement, butterflies, laughter, and a touch of beautiful chaos.

As your photographer, I’ve seen how a calm, well-planned morning sets the tone for the whole day (and makes your photos even more stunning). So here’s your ultimate wedding morning checklist to keep things stress-free, organised, and glowing from the start.

☀️ 1. Create a calm, clutter-free space

Before glam starts, tidy up!Throw bags, plastic, and water bottles into one corner, and keep your dress, details, and accessories somewhere clean and bright. A clear space means your photos look polished and intentional — not like a game of “Where’s the bouquet?”

💍 2. Gather all your details in one place

Have everything ready for me to photograph when I arrive:

  • Dress / suit / accessories

  • Perfume or cologne

  • Rings

  • Stationery or invites

  • Shoes

  • Flowers

It makes things flow smoothly and ensures nothing gets missed.

🕯 3. Set the mood

Play your favourite playlist, light a candle, or pour a glass of champagne. The morning sets the tone for your entire day — make it feel like you.

💄 4. Plan your timing with a little buffer

Hair and makeup always take a little longer than you think (trust me). Add 20–30 minutes of buffer time so you’re never rushing — you’ll thank yourself later.

📸 5. Keep the people you love close

Surround yourself with people who calm your nerves and make you laugh. The vibe in the room shows in your photos — so choose good energy only.

🕊 6. Let go of perfection

Something small will always go differently than planned — and that’s okay. The imperfect moments often turn into the most memorable ones. Take a deep breath and just enjoy it.

🌸 Bonus: A few photographer tips

  • Choose a room with natural light for getting-ready photos.

  • Hang your dress up early (somewhere high and clean!).

  • Keep your phone on silent — live in the moment.

  • And don’t forget to eat — you’ll need your energy!

Final thoughts

Your wedding morning should be joyful, not stressful. With a little prep (and a calm, confident mindset), you’ll start the day relaxed, radiant, and ready for magic.
