Marshmallows, Music & Magic: Amber & Mitch’s Unfiltered Forest Adventure!

Okay, you guys… I have to talk about this session because I am still buzzing from it!

If there is one thing I am on a mission to completely destroy in the photography world, it’s those stiff, awkward, "stand-there-and-stare-at-my-lens" photoshoots. Nobody wants to feel like they're on an assembly line! Your photo session should feel like an absolute date night adventure where you get to actually hang out, do something awesome together, and make real memories—while I just happen to be behind the lens capturing all the magic.

And Amber and Mitch’s campfire session in the Bathurst forestry (right near Sunny Corner)? Oh my gosh. It was a 10 out of 10. Literally UNREAL.

Zero Awkward Posing, 100% Fun

When we headed out into the pines, we threw out the rulebook completely. No rigid scripts, no weird hands-on-hips posing. Instead, we brought a crackling campfire, a bag of marshmallows, trailing sparklers, and an open space where they could just be 100% themselves.

And when I say themselves, I mean it! They were busy toasting (and okay, burning!) marshmallows over the fire, roasting each other with inside jokes, and bursting into full-on song. Yes, literally singing to each other in the middle of the woods! 🎤🌲

From dancing around in the sparkler light to running full-speed at each other with non-stop giggles, the energy was wildly fun, super flirty, and so deeply romantic. It was just pure, unfiltered love connection.

Sprinkle of Rain = Instant Forest Magic 🌧️✨

Just when we thought the vibe couldn't get any better, the sky decided to give us a little plot twist! Right in the middle of everything, this gentle sprinkle of rain started drifting down through the pine canopy.

Did it ruin anything? Heck no! It made the campfire glow even warmer, the sparklers pop brighter, and gave them the best excuse to wrap up in a cozy blanket and pull each other close. They sat there reminiscing about past memories, laughing off the rain, and completely forgetting I was even taking photos.

(And don't worry—we still snagged a couple of gorgeous, relaxed portraits for mum and grandma to frame! But the heart of the night was pure, out-of-the-box adventure).

Let’s Do More of THIS!

This is the exact kind of session I am obsessed with making happen. I want to build sessions around what you actually love to do as a couple—giving you a space where you’re completely allowed to be silly, goofy, flirty, and totally wild.

You bring your favorite memories, your favorite tunes, and your real selves, and we’ll create photos that feel less like a photoshoot and more like the best date night you've had all year.

Amber and Mitch, you two absolute legends—thank you for bringing all the love, the campfire tunes, and the incredible energy to the Bathurst woods. This one is going down in the books! 🙌🔥✨
